Privacy Policy — New Dawn

New Dawn is built so that your data is none of our business. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours that your information is sent to. Everything the app knows lives on your phone.
What the app stores — on your device only
Alarms and settings: your schedules, sounds, playlists, volume, and preferences.
Wake history: when your alarms fired, when you scanned, snooze counts, and estimated sleep duration. These power the Insights and Sleep Health features and never leave your device.
Your stop code: the QR secret is generated on your phone and stored only there. We never see it.
Reading data: your Bible bookmarks and reading position.
Permissions, and why they're asked
Alarms (AlarmKit): so your alarm is scheduled with iOS itself and rings even when the app is closed.
Camera: used only to recognize your stop code while the scanner is open. Images are processed on-device and never stored or transmitted.
Location (optional): used on-device to compute sunrise and sunset for the Sky features and wake-time suggestions. Your location is never uploaded or shared.
Notifications (optional): for bedtime reminders and alarm-related notices, delivered locally by iOS.
What we collect
Nothing. New Dawn sends no personal data to MaxMetrix or to third parties. There are no third-party SDKs, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Apple
Standard iOS system services (such as App Store installation and iOS backups) are governed by Apple's own privacy practices. If your phone backs up to iCloud, your on-device New Dawn data may be included in your own backup, which we cannot access.
Purchases
The Threshold tag is sold through our website; payment is processed by our payment provider, which receives only what is needed to complete your order. The app itself contains no purchases and no payment data.
Children
New Dawn does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the current version will always be at this page, with its effective date updated.
